Our Passion Raw Chocolate 'Theobroma Cacao' is our passion and the Chocolate Harlots are here to share the sensuous secrets of chocolate. The Chocolate Harlots love pure unadulterated Raw Chocolate and we want to share that love with you. Cacao is a sacred bean, revered by the ancients because of its astonishing nutritional value and aphrodisiac qualities. The Chocolate Harlots embrace the idea of sustainability through service to all communities. We understand the importance of fair-trade relationships, a collaboration based on equity and transparency that provides indigenous communities with an income from sustainable products that support their culture.
Our Expertise The Parlour is staffed by the Chocolate Harlots who share a passion for chocolate and are trained to offer exceptional service whilst promoting the health benefits of chocolate and ethical consumerism behind the world's most loved treat. It is not every day you could find yourself indulging in chocolate that is actually good for you whilst soaking up a beautiful atmosphere and being served by Chocolate Harlots, all in the knowledge that you are contributing to the welfare of indigenous communities and the rainforest.
Our Ethos The Chocolate Harlot Parlour ethos is to promote chocolate, one of the world’s most loved foods, whilst supporting the cacao producers in Peru. Education and empowerment are key to inspire our customers to consume ethically. All our ingredients are sourced responsibly and if it's free range, organic, fair-trade and local, you can bet that it's being used by us. Our essential ingredient, chocolate, has to be fair-trade and organic so that communities further afield will benefit. So good for us means good for them and good for our planet's limited resources too. The fair-trade movement empowers manufacturers and consumers to campaign for an international trade system based on justice and fairness. We are working in collaboration with Ecotribal who have been supporting the Ashaninka community since 1976. Ecotribal encourages sustainable development among remote communities experiencing rapid social change and new environmental constraints on their ancient land.
